Kentucky Week: Monday Practice Report

ATHENS - Georgia, coming off just its second loss of the season, on Monday kicked off preparations for its upcoming game at Kentucky.

Following Saturday¹s setback against Florida in Jacksonville, the Bulldogs are 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the SEC. Kentucky is 6-2 overall and 2-3 in the SEC, including last week¹s one-point victory over Mississippi State.

³You have to get over the Florida game, and it helps to get back to work,² defensive end Jeremy Lomax said. ³If you dwell on it, it can hurt you in the next game. We just have to focus in on Kentucky, line it up and try to get the job done.²

As per their normal Monday routine, the Bulldogs did conditioning for the first part and ended with special teams work.

³I thought practice went well,² Georgia coach Mark Richt said. ³The guys were focused and did their drills with a lot of energy. We have a tremendous amount of respect for Kentucky, and we need to have a good week of preparation to get ready for the game.²

Richt announced the captains for this week¹s game will be Mohamed Massaquoi on offense, Rennie Curran and Geno Atkins on defense, and Ben Boyd on special teams.
