Off Week: Thursday Practice Report

ATHENS - Georgia held its final practice of the week Thursday as the Bulldogs have an open date Saturday prior to the Nov. 29 game against Georgia Tech.

Thursday's session, which lasted just over 90 minutes, was held at the Woodruff Practice Fields at 5:30 a.m. due to academic obligations in the afternoon.

Coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs are making progress as they prepare for Georgia Tech's triple-option attack.

"It was a good practice and we are starting to get it," Richt said. "The scout team is starting to get a better feel and the defense is starting to get a better feel. We still have a long way to go."

After brief running and lifting sessions Friday, the team will take the weekend off before it resumes preparations for Georgia Tech on Monday.

Georgia (9-2) will try to win its eighth straight game against the Yellow Jackets (7-3). Kickoff is set for noon at Sanford Stadium, and the game will be televised nationally on CBS with Craig Bolerjack and Trev Alberts calling the action.
