Georgia Tech Week: Tuesday Practice Report

ATHENS – Georgia practiced for just over two hours in full pads at the Woodruff Practice Fields on Tuesday afternoon as they continue to prepare for this Saturday's contest against 18th-ranked Georgia Tech.

The Bulldogs are 9-2 overall and they finished Southeastern Conference action at 6-2, while Yellow Jackets stand at 8-3 overall including a 5-3 mark in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

"We're getting there," head coach Mark Richt stated following Tuesday's practice session. "The scout team is doing a good job for us."

Earlier on Tuesday, Richt held his weekly press conference at Stegeman Coliseum where he discussed Saturday's date with the Yellow Jackets.

"This is absolutely the biggest game of the year right now against Georgia Tech," Richt said. "It's going to be good to be back home at Sanford Stadium. It will have been 42 long days by the time we get to the game since we've been there. I'm looking forward to getting reunited with our fan base and doing the Dawg Walk again. Of course it's also our Senior Day. It's a big deal for our seniors to go through the gauntlet of their teammates, and at the ‘G' at midfield to have their families waiting for them and get a chance to get united with them and have a nice photograph taken for the memory then play the very last time between the hedges. I know our seniors every year shake their heads and wonder where the time went. It's also a time for underclassmen to honor our seniors by the way they play this last ballgame at home. It's definitely an exciting time."
