Ayers Talks Recruiting

Ryan Ayers is 2010 CB prospect from South Paulding High School in Georgia. Dawg Post.com caught with Ayers recently, find out what he had to say inside.

During his junior year Ryan played safety, where most teams put their best athletes, but it is at cornerback where he will earn his full ride. After a stellar combine circuit at Florida's Friday night lights and Georgia's Mark Richt Camp this past summer schools begin to take notice. Late last spring at the Scout.com combine in Charlotte he ran a sub 4.5 40-yard dash when times were not very fast for the other 150 prospects on the Carolina Panthers' practice turf.

How did you junior year go at South Paulding?
Ayers: "We went 4-6 this year, but we are a young team so I think we are going to better next year."

What schools have offered you so far?
Ayers: "So far North Carolina, Duke and Arkansas"

What schools have you been to this year during the season?
Ayers: "I have been to Georgia, North Carolina and Georgia Tech"

Can you tell me what you are looking for in a school?
Ayers: "I am just looking for a place that I feel comfortable and possible early playing time."

Rusty's Final Word:

Ayers has great hips and blazing size for a corner at a legit 5'10". I know how much stock Georgia puts into their camps, and Ayers had a great camp last summer. I look for Ayers to have a Georgia offer sooner rather than later.
