Armstrong will announce his college destination during the Under Armour Game in early January.
"That's when I will make my decision," he said.
"Georgia is at the top with Miami, LSU, and Florida," Armstrong said. He visited the Bulldogs over the weekend, and the visit may have helped him figure out just what the Dawgs had to offer.
"The visit to Georgia helped them because it showed me that it would be a place where I could have fun playing football," Armstrong said. "I also know the coaches there seem very truthful, and I like that too. It was an exciting visit and they did surprise me a bit."
Like the other recruits at over the weekend, Armstrong went to the annual Senior Gala.
"My time at Georgia was good, they showed me around, I got to hang out with some players, and I had some fun," Armstrong recalled. "The banquet was good too, and I think Georgia is a good place to go. I got there late on Saturday and I left on Sunday, but I saw pretty much everything."
Armstrong said he clicked with the Dawgs – noting that he was able to spend time with many who wear silver britches.
"My host was Nick Williams and I hung out with him and a few other freshmen while I was there," he said. "They were cool guys and I think I could fit in great there with them."
However, the best time Armstrong has was in Oconee County at head coach Mark Richt's house.
"The biggest highlight of the visit was having dinner at Coach Richt's house," he said. "I talked to him a lot, and he talked to me about a lot of things. He said they could really use me and they would love to have me in their system."
