Who's Playing, Who's Announcing?

UGA fans have many reasons to stay in tune with the Under Armour All-American events in the coming days and we break it all down inside.

Four prospects out of the Peach State playing in this game are currently committed to the University of Georgia and one more out of Massachusetts is listed on the Bulldog commitment list.

Another handful of talented athletes are being pursued by the Bulldogs as well and at least one will announce his decision at this event.

Here is the breakdown of the UGA commitments and targets involved in the Under Armour All-American Bowl.

Georgia Commitments in Action

Dallas Lee, WaShaun Ealey, Dexter Moody, Abry Jones, and Arthur Lynch enter this event as Bulldog commitments.

Lee and Jones will line up on the Black squad while Ealey, Moody, and Lynch play for the white. All are expected to hang out, get to know one another, and talk up UGA to other recruits while in Orlando.

As far as positions, Lee is expected to play offensive guard and Jones at defensive end while Ealey lines up at running back, Moody at outside linebacker, and Lynch at tight end.

This Bulldog quintet will have a chance to really showcase their talents against some of the best in the country.

UGA Prospects to Watch

Branden Smith, Marlon Brown, Ray Ray Armstrong, and Andre Debose are the main four prospects that the Dawgs are currently pursuing in this game while Darren Myles and Nu'Keese Richardson still have seen UGA coaches enter their school in December.

Armstrong and Debose both list Georgia, but Georgia is on the outside looking in. They have a shot with each top athlete, but their chances are not very good at this time. It looks like Florida and LSU lead for both.

Brown has UGA in his final five and many feel the Dawgs could be at the top of his list. He visited Athens for the second time on December 20 and he has developed a very good relationship with UGA coaches and players. Tennessee, Florida, LSU, and Ohio State are schools Brown still lists with Georgia.

Smith has Alabama, Florida, FSU, and Georgia on his list and they are his final four schools. His final official visit was to Georgia on December 12 and his final in-home visit before the holidays was with Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban. Georgia has a good chance of keeping this elite athlete at home, but you can not rule out the Gators or Tide.

Myles has not heard from Georgia much over the past six weeks while Richardson is committed to Florida. UGA is not pursuing either at this time.

Expected Announcements

Smith will choose one from these four

There is a very big announcement that Georgia fans will be watching closely.

Branden Smith will definitely be announcing his decision during the Under Armour All-American game and he is trying to come up with something original. He is unsure on how he will let everyone know the school that he chooses on live television, but he will definitely make his announcement.

As we mentioned previously, it is down to Alabama, Florida, FSU, and Georgia.

Ray Ray Armstrong and Andre Debose have also mentioned that they would like to make their decision on ESPN as well, but Debose has not confirmed his announcement either way while Armstrong says he still plans to.

Look for practice updates, photos, evaluations, recruiting nuggets, and more on The Porch as I will be in Orlando at every practice this week leading up to the game on Sunday January 4 at 8pm.
