Though Long arrived to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl late, he still recognizes the honor of being invited to play is such a prestigious game.
"It's a real honor to be here with all these great guys. I'm truly thankful and I'll remember this forever even if though I didn't get to play in the game."
Long missed the week due to a fractured L5 in his back however, he will be starting rehab later this month.
"I start rehab at the end of January," said Long. "I was told that rehab will be about 3 or 4 week then I'll be at 85%. They said that I will be able to start working out for football around then but, I won't be able to do everything.""As soon as I can start working out I will. Even if I'm not 100%, I will be able to get in the flow of things so that when I get to 100% I'll be ready to go."
Long reports to campus June 1st.
