Visit to Georgia is set

The biggest surprise out of Orlando (FL) last week may have been Greg Reid opening things back up. He is no longer a Gator and he is now visiting Georgia.

It did not take Georgia long to touch base with Greg Reid after he opened his recruiting back up. The dead period ended and the Dawgs are officially back in the picture with one of the top athletes in the country.

Reid capped off an amazing week on Sunday night with the Team BLACK MVP at the 2009 UnderArmour game. Before the game, the 5-foot-9, 175 pound speedster out of Lowndes (GA) was dominant at corner. He picked off passes daily and kept guys like Jheranie Boyd, Nu'Keese Richardson, Andre Debose, and Duron Carter in check.

After being committed to Florida for most of this recruiting year, Reid decided to open things back up the middle of last week. He de-committed and he said last week that he is open to everyone.

Georgia is one school the Peach State phenom is looking at and he will be visiting Athens officially just days before Signing Day.

"I am going up to Georgia on January 30," he said. ""I talked to Coach Bobo Monday night, and he invited me in for the visit. He also said that Georgia is coming down to see me later this week."

"I like Georgia because they are the in-state school, and I had a good time when I visited for a game earlier this year."

It will be interesting to see just who gets involved with this South Georgia talent. He is one of the premier athletes in the south and possibly the country. Reid could play corner, running back, slot receiver, and/or special teams on the next level.
