ATHENS - Georgia's search for its new basketball coach seems headed west.

FoxSports.com, parent company of Scout.com, is reporting that Georgia has "re-focused its efforts on Oklahoma's Jeff Capel."

Oklahoma Associate Director Mike Houck told Dawg Post on Monday that it does not comment on coaching searches at other institutions.

"Our athletic department has a policy of not commenting on coaching searches," he said Monday.

Jeff Goodman, who wrote the story about Georgia's interest in Capel, says that a move to Georgia would result in a nearly double in Capel's pay.

On Monday Capel the Dallas Morning News that he was not interested in discussing other jobs.

"My name has been mentioned [for another job] every year I've been a head coach, and I'm not getting into that. I can't do anything about who writes my name for certain things. I just concentrate on what I do," he said in the paper.

Goodman had previously reported Georgia's interest in Capel in early March.
