In addition to several recruits, the Bulldogs had their Teacher Appreciation day on Wednesday. Teachers and other UGA staff were welcomed to the Woodruff Practice Fields for practice and then dinner following practice.
Senior defensive tackle Geno Atkins is planning on taking Thursday, which is the football team's only day off from practice, to compete for the Bulldogs during a dual track and field meet with Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Atkins has thrown the shot put for Georgia for the past three seasons.
Georgia plays its G-Day Game on April 11. This year's G-Day Game will begin at 1:05 p.m. and will be televised by ESPN. In lieu of an admission fee, fans are encouraged to bring food donations to benefit the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. Among the items most needed are soups, peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, rice, pasta and pop-top canned goods.
