That tends to be the case when five BCS conference schools visit your school in one day.
Perhaps a one of the newer names on the recruiting trail, Yankey was verbally offered by Florida last fall. Georgia offered yesterday and visited today.
"Georgia was not recruiting me hard until lately," the offensive lineman said. "They seem to be pretty hard on me now. But it is just like any other school – it is close, but I need to check out their coaches and see what the school is like."
Georgia is looking to get Yankey in for a visit this summer at their summer camp. So far he has visited a slew of schools.
"I've been to Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Clemson and Duke," he said. "I have not seen a school yet where I have said immediately that I want to go there. I am waiting to see if any school does jump out to me."
The recruiting game is something Yankey's high school coach has been telling him he was going to get into this situation for some time now.
"My high school coach knew that this was coming," Yankey said. "He told me when I was a sophomore that this sort of thing was coming, so I have been expecting the attention to some degree. I don't get pulled out of class too much for recruiting because my coach wants to protect me from it."
As for the foreseeable future, Yankey said that he's trying to map out his summer plans.
"I know I am going to camp at Florida, most likely camp at Georgia. I think I'm also going to visit South Carolina," he said. "South Carolina – they were the first to offer me. I have been there two of three times, and I am familiar with them. Florida has been on me for a while now. I have not seen much of them – I have only been to one game. I didn't get to see much of the campus. I guess we will wait and see. And I have never been to Georgia.
Yankey is also looking at two prestigious academic schools – Stanford and Duke.
"I have been up to Duke for an unofficial," he said. "I have talked with their head coach and their offensive line coach. Stanford and Duke are really good academic schools. Stanford is way out on the west coast, so I think I am going to look at them, too."
In the end the combination of academics and athletics is what Yankey is trying to find.
"I am looking for a good all-around school – both academically and athletically," he said.
