"Coach Saban and Coach Smart are a big reason I like Alabama," he said. "I also like the depth chart at Alabama. At Alabama I met some fans, and everyone knew my name. I loved it."
The two SEC programs will get one of Fulton's five official visits, he said, with South Carolina and the Gators getting two others. Fulton did not name another school likely to get his final official visit.
Fulton also said he would like to visit other college campuses this summer, but that he's concentrating on his high school team, Manning, winning the state title.
"I plan on going to other places, too, but I have to concentrate on my high school team," he said. "It is going to be difficult, but we are going to try to win the state title, and that means I have to work, being a leader, this summer."
To some degree Fulton's decision to focus on his prep team's future means Georgia and Alabama have a bit of a leg up on others competing for his services.
"When I visited those two I really like the coaching staffs," Fulton said of Alabama and Georgia. "At Georgia the atmosphere was quieter. Georgia is mellower. Both of them are good, but in deferent in good ways."
Fulton is considered the fourth-best player in South Carolina. He is a four-star cornerback according to Scout.com.
