Gibbs slowed a little

Gibbs is one of three Georgia signees that will play for the Dawgs next season.

Corey Gibbs, a Georgia basketball signee, had knee surgery on Tuesday morning according to his mother. She said that he is now recovering.

"He has a brace right now and will have to rehabilitate," she said. "He may not play for the rest for the rest of the season," she added. Gibbs' Redan Raiders (he no longer goes to Pace) have only two weeks remaining in their regular season. It is unlikely that he will return for any remaining games.

Gibbs' mother said that her son will do rehabilitation at Peachtree Orthopedic Clinic.

"The coaches have been very supportive of him," she said. "Someone from Georgia is at every game," she added. "I think that we made the right decision."
