Hamilton was a little worried early on when Georgia got down by 14 points in the first quarter, but he knew someone would step up to bring them back.
"It got a little crazy when it was 14-0, but I knew A.J. Green, Brandon Boykin, Tavarres King, Branden Smith, or someone would step up and make a play. When we scored to make it 14-7, I knew we were coming back."
"We took control in the second half and we won the game. It was a big game and we won it with A.J. getting hurt and after getting down early. That is what kind of team we have at Georgia."
That is what the All-American Junior College safety was telling some of the top recruits in the country while in Athens.
UGA had a huge weekend and they were hosting four of the top prospects in Florida for official visits.
The Hitman was working one of specifically hard.
"I was basically chillin' with Jeff Luc, Deon Rogers, and Matt Elam all night," said the 6-foot-2, 195 pound safety. "I spent most of my time with Matt because I am hoping Deon can reel in Jeff since they are teammates."
"Matt is committed to Florida, but I know he is really looking at Georgia. He brought his mom up there and they are both chaecking it out."
"I talked to him about a lot of things and I told him some reasons why I think he should join me at Georgia. I explained to him what he could do at Georgia, what opportunity he would have with me, Alec Ogletree, Branden Smith, Brandon Boykin, Garrison Smith, and guys like that on our future defense."
So does Hamilton feel the Dawgs have a legit shot with the number one safety in the country?
"I think it is going to come down to Florida and Georgia in the end. I know he really liked the atmosphere at the game last night and he had a great time in the locker room afterwards when we went in and celebrated with the team."
"His mom is at Georgia on the visit with him, so I think she will be a big part of his decision too."
While Elam may be still thinking about his final decision, Hamilton knows where he will be playing in the future.
He committed to Georgia over the summer and is as strong now as he was then.
"I felt like part of the team already when we won that game Saturday night. I was in the locker room with the players jumping around, throwing gatorade around, and just having fun."
"I hope we add Jeff and Matt to this class because I think our defense is going to be very strong in the future. We have a great class coming in and it could get a little better if they make the right decision."
