Did Dawgs Get Luc-ky?

ATHENS – Before hoping on a plane Jeff Luc talked about his trip to Athens.

Everyone in the world has offered Jeff Luc a scholarship, but the Bulldogs were one of only three schools so far to get and official visit from him. Considered the top middle linebacker in the country, Luc is a man of few words. Still, he said he enjoyed his trip to Athens.

"I was at home there," Luc said briefly.

That was the feeling his teammate and Georgia commit Deon Rogers got, too.

"He was just being himself – acting the way we cat when we are at home together just hanging out," Rogers said.

The duo tripped together from Port Staint Lucie, which is located north of West Palm Beach on Florida's eastern coast. Just getting Luc to visit Athens is considered a recruiting win for John Jancek and the Bulldogs.

"I liked the game," Luc said of Georgia's fight with Auburn. "There were a lot of people going into the game and a lot when we got in there."

The duo hung out with many of Georgia's defensive players including Nick Williams, Reshad Jones and Rennie Curran.

"Jeff is thinking Georgia," Rogers said. "I saw him have fun – that's a fact. He was at home. He acted like he always does."

Considered s five-star prospect by Scout.com, Luc would be a huge recruiting get for the Bulldogs (or any other program). But Luc is trying to graduate early, and he thinks he will still visit Florida and LSU before making his mind up for good. Tennessee and Southern Cal were the other two programs to get an official visit from Luc.
