Walls Looking for Georgia Offer

ATHENS – Avery Walls made his first gameday trip to Athens on Saturday. What did he think about the Dawgs big win over Auburn and where does he stand with Georgia?

Avery Walls had been to Athens previously but it was during the summer for a Nike Combine so this was his first trip where he got to see what Georgia offers on gameday.

"It was really nice. Coach Martinez is my recruiter, and I got to hang out with him for a while. Everyone was nice and I saw a lot of great people. A lot of them were telling me to go to Georgia. I got to talk with the coaches and the academic advisors. Academics is very important to me in my decision."

Walls also had some great things to say about his first experience at Sanford Stadium.

"The atmosphere was great and saw were the fans. I got to talk to Brandon Boykin who I played against in high school when I was a freshman. I was really impressed with everything."

The outstanding junior safety from Union Grove High School doesn't currently hold an offer from Georgia but thinks one will come soon.

"My coach says that Georgia calls a good bit and they were going to offer me sooner or later."

Walls does currently hold offers from Stanford and Oklahoma and is hearing from a who's who list of SEC and ACC schools.

He is not your typical Georgia kid who grew up rooting for the Dawgs. He was born in Ohio and his mother is a graduate of Ohio State so expect for them to be in the mix if they are interested in Walls' service.

Even though Walls says he is very open in his recruiting expect Georgia to be in this think til the end.

"After visiting the University of Georgia I really enjoyed my experience and especially all of the people there."
