Dawg Post has not been able to confirm the report, but has been told by more than two source inside the Bulldogs' program that Shreveport is the likely location for the Bulldogs' bowl trip this fall.

The Dawgs seemed headed to the Chick-fil-A Bowl until earlier today when the Outback Bowl selected 7-5 Auburn. The move to pick the Tiger was strange on several levels. 1. The Tigers lost to 7-5 Georgia two weeks ago. 2. Auburn are coming off two straight losses and have lost five of their last six SEC games. 3. Tennessee had been heavily rumored to head to Tampa. As late as 10 PM last night some UT officials still thought Tampa was their destination.

It appears Georgia will play Texas A&M in the bowl game. This is the final year in the SEC's contract with the Shreveport game. The Independence Bowl will be replaced by the Gator Bowl in the SEC's lineup next season.
