Enter offensive lineman Alex Jauregui of Peachtree Ridge, who is already attracting the attention of many schools across the South.
"Really just about everybody in the ACC and SEC," Jauregui, who is waiting to receive his first offer, said. "And Ohio State. That's about it."
The big man from the class of 2012 plays left tackle, and has enough athleticism to line-up at tight end in certain big packages. He also participates in track.
Although still wide-open in terms of which school interests him the most, Jauregui has already taken several unofficial visits.
Jauregui took his visit to Athens Feb. 6, and although he says most unofficial visits are the same at every school, Jauregui enjoyed the trip.
"We just took a tour of the campus, the dorms, the field," he said. "And it was mostly an academic purpose junior day."
Jauregui grew up following Georgia and another program he hopes to hear more from in the future, the Miami Hurricanes. Jauregui says he'd like to take a visit to Miami in the near future.
And although Jauregui is staying relaxed about the recruiting process, and has no time table for when he will narrow down his list of choices, he states a couple of factors that could push him in a certain direction.
"I think just the overall team feeling and how their players react to the coaches and coaching and campus lifestyle," he said. "Academics are important too."
