Jauregui Back in Familiar Territory

Sophomore Peachtree Ridge left tackle back in Athens for Junior Day.

Alex Jauregui has seen everything Georgia has to offer.

The 6-foot-7, 275-pound sophomore from Peachtree Ridge has visited Athens five times, and was in the Classic City again Saturday.

"It went well," he said of Georgia's junior day. "Practice was really good. The 3-on-3 drills that they were doing, they were really intense."

Jauregui, a left tackle, talked to a Peachtree Ridge alum, and most of the Georgia coaches after practice concluded.

"I talked with Drew Butler, he recognized me," he said. "And I talked to coach [Stacey] Searels and most of the other coaches."

Now, Jauregui is just waiting for an offer. After talking to Searels, the chance to become a Bulldog appears obtainable.

"We just talked about everything," Jauregui said. "He wants me to play there. That's what he was saying a lot."

Only a sophomore, Jauregui has attracted the interest of Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State and many other ACC and SEC schools.

He's still waiting for his first offer.
