Georgia Coaches Visit Pepperell D-Tackle

Stacey Searels headlines group of coaches that visited Dakota Ball Wednesday

ATHENS—A visit to Pepperell High School was on the agenda Wednesday, as Georgia's coaches continue their whirlwind tour across the state.

Defensive tackle Dakota Ball was told by his coach Jeff Shiflett to dress nicely, because Bulldogs' coaches were coming to see him.

"Coach [Stacey] Searels, and two to three others were here," Ball said. "They just came by to say hey."

Georgia isn't the only school to visit Ball this week.

"South Carolina came and saw me yesterday, and Georgia Tech was here Monday," Ball said.

The 6-foot-2, 283-pound prospect claims offers from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Clemson.

In fact, according to Ball, the Crimson Tide offered him as a defensive tackle and tight end.

At the moment, Ball says he favors the SEC schools recruiting him, and grew up following two programs in particular, Georgia and Tennessee.

Ball has not made any plans to visit schools yet, but said Florida invited him to Gainesville for a summer camp.
