Dantzler's ready to commit

It looked like it would be November before Watts Dantzler committed to a school, but it will be June. The top offensive lineman in Georgia is set to make his decision.

"There has been a change of winds and instead of committing on my birthday, I am going to commit on Father's Day," Watts Dantzler told Scout.

"I just started thinking about this recently and Father's Day seemed like the perfect day to commit. I want to go ahead and get this done and then help to build a great recruiting class."

After over 25 schools offered the 6-foot-7, 331 pound offensive tackle out of Dalton, Ga., he has it down to two.

"It is just Auburn and Georgia now," he said. "I think Auburn has a great atmosphere, I have enjoyed every visit I have taken over there and I like Coach Grimes and Coach Chizik a lot. I grew up a fan of Georgia because my dad Danny Dantzer (passed away in February 2009 due to Lou Gehrig's disease) played there from 1971-1973, so I have a lot of Georgia memories. I also think Coach Searels is a good coach and I like Coach Richt a lot."

Dantzler will be honoring his father on Sunday June 20 at Dalton High School in the commons area at 4pm.

Scout will be there to cover this special event for the Dantzler family.
