Profile 2004 - Matt Stoltz (LB/FB)
Matt Stoltz is a prototype middle linebacker prospect. He is big at 6-3 and 240 pounds. He runs well with a 4.55 forty, and he sheds blocks extremely well. He totaled 103 tackles as a junior after missing the first half of the season with a broken ankle, and he had 162 total tackles as a sophomore.
"I'm just working on my speed and working out right now," said Stoltz. "I used to play some other sports, but I'm concentrating on football right now."
When it comes to selecting a college, the National Honor Society member is likely to have his choice of destinations, and he already has a select list of teams that he is looking at.
"Right now I'm planning on camping at Arkansas and Oklahoma for sure. I'm not sure where I'll go after that, but I also like Penn State, Nebraska, LSU, and Georgia."
Stoltz also plays running back, but he is a linebacker all the way on the next level.
