Murray's stats in the scrimmage, as provided by the team, were 12-for-21 for 237 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Head coach Mark Richt had been pleased, praising Murray's ability to handle pressure.
Whether or not the scrimmage itself went well, the film study of it did, according to Bobo.
"We learned from it on tape today, and he had an excellent practice today in standing in the pocket, trusting the protection, and cutting the ball loose," Bobo said. "And that was good to see. The other day yesterday wasn't particularly up to par."
Hebron back in good stead?
Akeem Hebron, taking advantage of injury problems at the position, had six tackles in Tuesday's scrimmage.
"Akeem Hebron made some plays with the second unit there against the first-unit offense. I can see that he's worked," defensive coordinator Todd Grantham said. "My belief is everyone has a role to play on this team. Whatever that role is, to do it to the best of your ability."
Hebron played in a total of nine games the past two seasons, notching four tackles and no sacks. He was a Parade All-American coming out of Gaithersburg, Md., but spent a year at Georgia Military College, then fractured his ankle midway through the 2008 season.
"Right now we're just trying to build depth," Hebron said. "We're just trying to play as many at my position anyway, we're trying to play as many linebackers as we can. Keep some legs fresh, and the only way we can do that is by not having a weakest link."
