While high school student-athletes try to rise before the watchful eye of college coaches around the country, hoping to be recruited and granted scholarships by the colleges of their dreams, two former Zags who have "been there and done that" will be taking their games to the next level: the NBA.
Former backcourt mates Matt Santangelo and Richie Frahm will be giving the Utah Jazz yet another good look at what Gonzaga University has to offer. Already blessed with arguably the greatest Point Guard (John Stockton) in NBA history, certainly in Jazz history, the Salt Lake City-based team will be looking to add some young talent for the future.
I wouldn't bet against Matt or Richie. They've shown Zag fans for years how it's supposed to be done with clutch individual performanes combined with unmatched teamwork and an uncanny knack for winning.
Tune into ESPN2 on July 24 and July 26 to relive Richie's sweet long range shots and Matt's drives to the rack and playmaking abilities!
