"Kraziness in The Kennel"

For a few cans of food, meet All-American and Wooden Award candidate Dan Dickau, Zach Gourde, other veteran Zags and all the new players in The Kennel. Be there October 18th to kick off yet another exciting journey to the NCAA Tournament and March Madness.

If you are anywhere near Spokane and Gonzaga University, mark your calendar for a date with the Zags on October 18. You will want to be in The Kennel that evening for what will be an exciting and fun-filled night of Zagmania. Coach Mark Few and the 2001-2002 edition of the Bulldogs plan to kick off the season in great family-oriented style.

Bring the kids. Bring the neighbors' kids. Bring your grandma. Pack the car and head down to Gonzaga's Martin Centre. There will be cheerleaders, dance teams, highlight videos, raffles, contests and $10,000 to win. You'll see this year's Zags introduced and watch them play an all-out game-like scrimmage. And afterwards, you can literally meet the Zags "up-close and personal" as the team will be signing autographs. Buy a basketball and have the entire team sign it. It could end up being a memorable souvenir as Gonzaga's mens basketball team is poised once again for another successful NCAA Tournament.

Dean and Rusty of "The Dean and Rusty Show" on Oldies 101.1 will be emceeing the festivities. Make your plans now and be sure to arrive early when the doors open; it promises to be a packed house for a team that has advanced to the Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen over the past three years!

Admission is free but Gonzaga requests that everybody bring cans of food to be donated at the door for the Spokane Food Bank.

If you have questions, or want to talk Gonzaga basketball, click on "message boards" on the left side of this page, register and feel free to post and interact with fellow Zag fans everywhere.
