Gonzaga at 10-2 heading into WCC

After defeating regional foes by 21, 24, 38 and 22, Gonzaga finished off its conconference schedule with a 21 point romp over Montana. At 10-2 and top-15 in the nation, the Zags trek to Los Angeles to open WCC action against Pepperdine and LMU. But first, here are some visual highlights of the Montana-Gonzaga contest.

Perhaps the ugliest player Gonzaga has faced all season, Kamarr Davis of Montana finds himself surrounded down low by Ronny Turiaf and Cory Violette.

In 2002, Montana's Kevin Criswell had a career game against the Zags but Blake Stepp and this year's Gonzaga team kept the shooting guard under control.

Cory is fouled by Kamarr Davis, who fouled out early, and moments later the Gonzaga big man adds to his game-high total from the charity stripe.

Ronny completes an alley-oop lob by jamming it emphatically, one of several alley-oop slam dunks from Blake Stepp to either Turiaf or Violette.

The Bulldogs dominated the boards with 20 more rebounds than the Grizzlies and easily built a 26 point lead with several minutes to go, giving the GU bench ample playing time. Violette, Turiaf, Adam Morrison, Erroll Knight and Blake Stepp all finished in double-figures, with Turiaf earning a double-double (13-13).

Catch the Gonzaga Bulldogs in action next against league rival Pepperdine on Thursday evening, January 8, in Malibu, or on FSN at 5:30pm PST.
