ZagsHoops bids Farewell to Seniors

Five years ago, in Seattle, a Cinderella 10 seed Gonzaga team would upset 2 seeded Stanford on its way to the Elite Eight. Five years afterwards, in Seattle, 2 seed Gonzaga would fall victim to a Cinderella 10 seed Nevada team. Kyle Bankhead, Cory Violette, Blake Stepp, Tony Skinner and Richard Fox played their final games as Zags.

March 20, 2004, Saturday, the first day of Spring... Seattle blossoms into the City of Upsets and "just a little bit of history repeating" takes place in Key Arena. It's a day five Gonzaga student-athletes would never forget, the day their college careers came to an abrupt end, the day they'd go 28-3 instead of 29-2. says Thank You for the memories and bids a reluctant but heartfelt farewell to all five seniors: You will be gone but never forgotten.
