Wanted: Tamika "Mika" Lipford

Said to be one of the quickest guards in the country, and certainly the San Diego area's best, Mika Lipford will decide where she'll play hoops and earn her degree after her final visit Late-October/Early November, and Gonzaga would like it if her choice was the Bulldogs.

The San Diego area's best point guard resides in Oceanside and attends Bishops School. The 5'6" dynamo impresses almost every game she plays. In fact, look up her list of accomplishments and accolades like MVP or All-Conference or Player of the Game or 1st-Team are awarded Tamika for her outstanding play.

Lipford usually scores in the teens, looking to dish first, score second. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Tamika is just how much of a winner she is. She has been a key to her school's six year conference domination. The southern California star plays on the same AAU team as new Gonzaga Bulldog Dominique Harris: FBC.

The FBC website describes Tamika like this:

Quickest point guard in the country. Incredible vision in the open court. Solid mid-range game and can stretch the defense with the three. Very poised in traffic with a awesome change pace style. Hard nose defender that reeks havoc all over the court. After July's viewing period every Top 25 program in the country will know this kids name.

The daughter of Sheila (Tamika's role model) and Reginald (on duty in Iraq) is a great student as well, sporting a 3.5 GPA and 1300 on her SAT. She'd like to become a sports attorney and her favorite sports figure is Cynthia Cooper.
