6'1" Heather Bowman has been a high priority recruiting target of Gonzaga's coaching staff for years. The local star from Lewis and Clark High School is yet another high major hoopster in talent-rich Spokane. Head GU Coach Kelly Graves had won the battle for local star Jami Bjorklund the year before, and he wanted to keep that momentum going with Bowman. Graves would have to beat out Oregon, Washington and Notre Dame for the Lady Tigers post player, and he did. For a complete scouting report of Bowman Click Here.

Vivian Frieson, 6'0", has been under the tutelage of women's basketball legend Joyce Walker at Seattle's Garfield High School, and it has been an obvious benefit for the highly athletic Frieson. She became a very important recruiting target for Gonzaga after a stellar junior season that saw Vivian and her Garfield Bulldogs win the State 4A title. Likened to current Zag SF Anne Bailey, Frieson has all the tools to help make this 2006 recruiting class the finest in the history of the Zag program.
