The Championship Game

It began with Adam Morrison guarding Denham Brown.

And Denham guarding Adam.

Pendo played a tough, scrappy game, seen here guarded by Rudy Gay.

Despite an off night from three, Derek Raivio played good defense and drove inside for fouls or short shots to accumulate 8 valuable points.

Wouldn't you know it would come down to a game winning shot with one second remaining by Denham Brown over Adam Morrison and J.P. Batista's outstretched arms.

In related news, 6'11" redshirt freshman Josh Heytvelt broke his ankle after diving for a loose ball, causing UConn's Rashad Anderson to trip and fall hard on Heytvelt's ankle. He will be sidelined for the entire regular season, at least. GU Nation wishes Josh a speedy recovery.
