Jolly Says GVSU the Best Fit

Brighton (Mich.) offensive tackle Zach Jolly discusses his GVSU commitment.

Brighton High offensive tackle Zach Jolly committed to Grand Valley State last week, despite the possibility of a couple MAC schools offering still out there.

The 6'6, 260-lb senior says there was not one specific reason, but rather a feeling he had about the school.

"I chose GVSU because I felt like it would be the best school for me. There isn't really a single thing I can pinpoint it on, but it's just an overall gut feeling. GVSU has proven that they are a great school in regards to their staff, tradition, and history."

Playing as a true freshman is extremely rare at GVSU, and Jolly knows that going in, and has a good idea of what to expect.

"I will most likely be redshirted my freshmen year. I don't know exactly when I will be seeing the field, but I'm sure that will be left up to me with the help of the coaches putting me in the best position for success."

Jolly was also being recruited by Western Michigan, Central Michigan and several others.
