Kos Would Like to be a Laker

Holland Christian WR Elias Kos is one of the lakeshore's top prospects and is receiving interest from several schools in the Midwest. The talented wideout updated us on his recruitment including what he thinks of Grand Valley.

Elias Kos already plays in a wide open offense. Last year, he grabbed 32 passes for 640 yards and 12 touchdowns in Holland Christian's spread offense. The 6'5, 200-lb Kos is hoping that he might continue to catch passes in that system in college.

"I'd play for Grand Valley in a heartbeat," he reported, "they run just about the same offense we do."

Being from West Michigan, Kos is also very familiar with the Lakers from their style of play to their facilities and tradition.

"Well, they win all the time," Kos responded when asked why he likes GVSU so much, "and it's a smaller school, which I like and close to home. When I was younger, I'd go up there and workout in the gym and stuff, so I'm pretty familiar with them."

Although he hasn't heard from the Lakers just yet, Kos is hoping to change that by attending the summer camp in Allendale at the end of July. He also is headed to one of Western Michigan's one day camps. In addition to the Broncos, he is receiving interest from other MAC programs like Miami-Ohio and Central Michigan, where he went on a recent visit.

Even with the interest from the aforementioned Division-1 programs and others like San Diego State and Iowa State, Kos is still keeping close the idea of suiting up in Laker blue.

"I know they really like local players, so I'm just going to go up there and see what happens."
