Kos Still Has GV High On List

The Holland Christian Maroons are enjoying a nice season yet again. Sitting currently at 4-2, it appears as though they are headed for another playoff run. One reason has been the passing game and senior Elias Kos is a big part of that. The big pass catcher talked to GVReport about his season and his interest in the Lakers.

Holland Christian WR Elias Kos is finding out what it is like to be a big time wide receiver. One of the state of Michigan's top receivers and certainly the best in his conference, Kos has been drawing a lot more attention this season after his strong junior campaign last year.

"The season is going good," he reported, "but I'm getting doubled and tripled a lot so that is annoying."

The Maroons got off to a shaky start this season, but have gotten on track thanks to the improved play of junior QB Aaron Westendorp. Kos has benefitted from that as the 6'5 speedster has put up better numbers of late.

"I have about 500 yards and four touchdowns," he said, "but we have four wide receivers to throw to every play so that's not bad."

As for his recruitment, things still aren't moving along as quickly as he would like, but one team still showing him a lot of love is GVSU.

"Not too many people are calling, suprisingly," he said, "but oh well. I went to the first GVSU home game and I think there are getting me tickets for another."

As for where the Lakers currently stand, Kos said, "GVSU is definitely tops on my school list if I can't get into San Diego State."
