Lakers Grab Two More Commits!

Grand Valley landed two more verbal commitments for their 2008 class this week. The Lakers secured verbal commitments from two instate linemen, one of which was highly rated by Scout.com.

Grand Valley landed two outstanding linemen this week:

Andrew Biedenbender from Mount Pleasant High School. A 6'5, 260-lber, Biedenbender was a 1st team All-State selection after not allowing a sack all year (298 passing attempts). He will likely begin his career at tackle.

The second was Matt Armstrong, our 30th ranked player in the state. The 6'3, 290-lb Lansing Sexton product was also a 1st team All-State selection as well as an All-State shot putter. He had interest from Big Ten schools including Michigan.

They join Chippewa Valley LB Ricky Shorkey as players committed to GVSU.

GVReport will have interviews and video of these brand new Lakers over the next few weeks.
