GVSU held voluntary workouts on Tuesday evening. There were many of new faces on hand from transfers to true freshmen. We had our camera lens out and have some of the first shots of the new Lakers in their new setting.

Redshirt freshman WR Greg Gay walks back to the huddle. After being injured for much of last year, he has turned heads with a strong spring.

Although he has only been on campus for a short time, Foothill JC transfer WR Cameron Bradford has impressed his teammates with his physical play and ability to go up and get the ball.

Another new face is WR Jahan Jones who transferred in from Victor Valley College and has already established himself as one of the fastest receivers on the team

One of the more heralded new faces in Allendale is running back P.T. Gates. A former four-star recruit who was committed to Colorado, he will add some big play ability to the Laker offense this year.

One player who made huge strides in the offseason is CB Chris Huley, who will lock down one cornerback spot in the Laker defense.

A former running back, LB Matt Fluter has bulked up but showed he still had the speed this offseason. He is currently one of the team's better linebackers in coverage.

True freshman Chris Crawford can play a number of positions, but has been working out mostly at wide receiver. Crawford had a great prep career at Muskegon and his speed and open field ability should fit well in GVSU's wide open attack.

Another transfer from Victor Valley College is safety Kris Sitgraves who has added size and speed to the secondary.
