Faifili makes his decision

American River LB Samson Faifili has had two good seasons for the Beavers and this weekend, the talented linebacker decided he wanted to be part of what Charlie Weis and his staff have going on in Lawrence, Kansas and become a Jayhawk...

"I just wanted to inform you that I have given Kansas a solid verbal," Faifili said via text.

In addition to his offer from the Jayhawks, Faifili also had offers from UNC-Charlotte, Oregon State, Nevada and Hawaii.

Last season, Faifili posted 62 tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss and 5.5 sacks and this season he finished third on the team with 47 tackles while posting a team-leading six sacks and eight tackles-for-loss.

Faifili is on pace to graduate in December and he will have three years to play two once he steps on campus.
