Wideout Takes Final Step

Junior college wide receiver Kevin White placed the Mountaineers firmly atop his favorites after a visit to campus, and he followed that up tonight with a verbal commitment.

Kevin White, who blossomed into a tall outside receiving target at Lackawanna College, committed to West Virginia after an in-home visit on Wednesday. White plans to sign with WVU on Dec. 19, which is the beginning of the early enrollment period for mid-year junior college transfers. HE will be on campus for spring practice.

White has two years of eligibility remaining, but could see that upped to three if a redshirt is approved for his freshman year at Lackawanna, which he missed with a shoulder injury. Tnis season, he had 33 catches for 536 yards and six scores in nine games for the Falcons. White played his high school football at Emmaus High, where he was an honorable mention all-conference selection.

BlueGoldNews.com will have more from White soon.
