Hawaii Football begins their Fall Camp in 21 days. Which means that there are 21 days until football begins in earnest (yes yes it's not a game, but Fall Camp is really when the actual season starts. What you don't believe me? Ask anyone!)
And while this means we have to sweat out three more sad, sad weeks without football, it also means we still have time to buy out season tickets (if you haven't done so already). Here's the release on the Athletics Website:
"HONOLULU – Season tickets for the 2013 University of Hawai'i football season are on sale now. Season tickets are available for purchase online at HawaiiAthletics.com, at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or by calling 944-2697 during the same hours.
Season ticket prices remain the same as last year. The package includes six home games, including two non-conference and four Mountain West contests.
The Rainbow Warriors open the season with a rare Thursday night home game against perennial national power Southern California, Aug. 29. UH will also host Mountain West games against Fresno State, Sept. 28, San Jose State, Oct. 5, Colorado State, Oct. 26 and San Diego State, Nov. 16 before closing out the schedule against Army, Nov. 30.
UH returns 16 starters from a year ago including eight starters from a defensive unit that ranked 11th nationally in passing defense and 41st in overall defense. The senior-laden defense returns all three starting linebackers – Art Laurel, Brenden Daley, and Jerrol Garcia-Williams, ends Tavita Woodard and Beau Yap, tackles Siasau Matagieseand Moses Samia, safeties John Hardy-Tuliau and Marrell Jackson, and cornerbacks Tony Grimes and Ne'Quan Phillips.
In addition, seven starters on offense returns not counting quarterback Taylor Graham, who sat out last season after transferring from Ohio State. Graham was the No. 1 quarterback in the spring and will run an offense that returns three of its top receivers – Billy Ray Stutzmann, Chris Gant, and Scott Harding; four starting linemen – Ben Clarke,Dave Lefotu, Mike Milovale, and Sean Shigematsu, and running back Joey Iosefa.
Head coach Norm Chow is in his second season at the helm of the Rainbow Warriors and introduced two new coaches to his staff – offensive coordinator Aaron Price and veteran NFL lineman Chris Naeole as offensive line coach.

Say what you will about Norm. About last season. About your trepidation. The bottom line? We can't get better unless we all take a leap of faith. The University desperately needs money and almost as desperately needs fans. Changing the culture begins...now!
