Hawaii vs. Norfolk State

Christian Standhardinger scored 29 points, had 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals against Norfolk State. Continuing his torrid start to the year.

I must admit that I had my doubts about Christian. He was always a good player, but really seemed to lack the athleticism of an elite Division 1 ball player. It seems, however, that he's proving my wrong a game at a time. Hawaii is 10-3, and that is due in large part to his consistently great play. For the year, he's averaging 17.5 points and 7.1 boards, almost 2 points more than last year, despite playing less minutes. He's also increased his free throw percentage from a career low .644 last year back to .726 this year. The athleticism is still not there, but, at least for now, it looks like it doesn't really matter.
