Isaac Fotu's Big Night

Hawaii pulls out a much needed win in its last non conference game before it hits the real regular season, with Fotu leading the way.

And, if you missed the game last night, you'll probably be regretting it this morning when you see the score and read the articles. In one of the more enjoyable UH basketball experiences of the last 5 years, the team pulled out a come from behind victory against a scrappy Nebraska Omaha team, 77-73. That gives the team 11 wins overall (9 against D-1 competition) and allows them to remain in sole possession of first in the Big West. After a heavy dose of Christian Standhardinger over the first few weeks of the season, Isaac Fotu showed up, going for 26 and 8, but more importantly, hitting 80% of his free throws, finally freed from the inhibiting cast he once wore. Make sure you stop by the SSC to check out the Bows this season. They are something really special this year.
