Hawaii vs. UC Irvine

Isaac Fotu scored 30 points, shooting 13- of-16 from the floor, as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors survived in overtime against UC Irvine, 90-86, in Big West Conference play at the Bren Events Center.

This was an incredible win. Incredible. On the Road. #1 team in the conference. Young team. Early season in the balance. So many factors that make the win one of the team's best in awhile.

Hawaii led by 10 early in the first half, but that was before the Anteaters heated up and knocked down 55.6 percent from the field through the first 20 minutes of action. With 10-of-13 accuracy at the free-throw line in the period as well, UCI moved out to a 43-38 edge at the break.

In the second half, UCI led by a 77-71 margin with only 90 seconds left in regulation, but a triple by Shamburger in the final moments sent the meeting to overtime knotted at 78-78. This was one of the craziest shots I've ever seen, particularly given the circumstances. It was a banked in three while Sham was triple covered. One of those no no no no YES!!! shots. And it was awesome.

Great win boys. Now onto the next one.
