Soccer: Kai and Chow garner WAC honors

Hawaii's Natasha Kai and Erin Chow are named the WAC's offensive and defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

DENVER – Hawai‘i's forward Natasha Kai and goalkeeper Erin Chow have been named the Western Athletic Conference women's soccer offensive and defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Kai earned her second Player of the Week honor, scoring eight points in two conference matches, scoring three goals on four shots on goal. Kai posted one goal and assisted in another, in the Wahine's, 4-3, loss to SMU. She then tallied two more goals and an assist in a, 3-0, win over UTEP.

Chow came in at halftime against SMU, in relief of the injured Mahie Atay and kept the Mustangs scoreless in the second half. She continued her shutout, allowing no goals against UTEP in a 3-0 win. She tallied eight saves in 107 minutes.
