WAC Awards Schlanger Swimmer of the Week
Schlanger, a freshman from Buderim, Queensland, Australia, posted her fastest times of the season at the University of Texas Invitational over the weekend. Her best times came in the 50 Free (22.95), 100 Free (49.35), and 200 Free (1:50.16). Schlanger's time in the 100 Free (49.35) was UH's only automatic qualifying time in the meet and broke her own school record set earlier in the fall. Besides her new record in the 100 Free, she is now second on the UH all-time list in the 50 Free and fourth in the 200 Free. The Rainbow Wahine finished in sixth place at the Texas Invitational with 269 points, while the men were eighth with 161. The Rainbow Wahine next host a quadrangular meet against Oregon State, Dartmouth, and Rice on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
