Volleyball: Kahumoku named WAC Player of the Week

Helped lead Hawaii to road wins at UTEP and SMU.

Hawaii leftside hitter Lily Kahumoku has been named the WAC Volleyball Player of the Week for leading the Wahine to road victories last week against UTEP and SMU.

In Thursday's match, Kahumoku had 25 kills against the Miners, one shy of her career best, and added nine digs. On Saturday morning, Kahumoku pounded out 11 kills and dug up 16 balls against SMU. She also had seven blocks against the Mustangs.

Kahumoku becomes the second Wahine to earn Player of the Week honors this season. Kim Willoughby was named player of the week earlier this season.
