Wahine Drops to Third in Volleyball Poll

Stanford's three-game sweep of Hawaii dropped the Wahine to third in the latest USA Today/AVCA Top 25 poll.

The University of Hawaii Wahine Volleyball team dropped two spots to No. 3 in the latest USA Today/AVCA Coaches Top 25 poll released Monday.
Stanford, which defeated then No. 1 USC last week and beat Hawaii on Sunday, moved from fourth to first picking up 36 first place votes.
USC, ranked second last week, remained in the number two spot followed by Hawaii, Florida and Nebraska.
Hawaii is now 23-1 overall and 11-0 in the WAC. The Wahine's school record of 54 straight games without a loss was also snapped Sunday. Hawaii now goes on a seven-game, two week road trip which takes them to Fresno State and San Jose State this weekend.
Following the California stop, Hawaii then travels to the WAC Tournament in Reno, Nevada. Following the tournament, Hawaii faces Brigham Young and Utah in a pair of matches before returning home to receive an NCAA bid.
