Football: Q & A with Pisa Tinoisamoa

Given the right circumstances, Pisa Tinoisamoa is a very talkative guy. With rookie writer Scott Young, the All-WAC linebacker is a bit concise, but as always, straight-up honest about where he stands about everything from food to video games.

If you weren't playing football and could be anything you wanted what would you be?
I would love to be an astronaut.

What's going on with you right now?
I'm just practicing, working out and trying to get ready for the bowl game coming up.

Who are your favorite NFL team and player right now? Who do you compare your style of play to?
Well, I really don't have a favorite NFL team and I don't compare myself to anyone, but I like Donnie Edwards play…yeah he's great.

What's your favorite video game?
Right now, it's Madden 2003 and I really like to play the fade route.

What's your favorite food?
Chicken…I love chicken. All sorts of chicken, garlic, fried, any chicken except boiled chicken. I do have a Hershey's chocolate bar before a game.

What's your favorite music?
I like the theme music from the NFL films.

Do you have any hobbies?
I like anything fun. I got a little hat collection. Just hats that I've gathered along the way. Nothing in particular I just like nice hats usually ones with my initials on them.

What's the best practical joke you've ever played on someone? 
(Laughing) A lot of people don't know the jokes I pull…so I can't name 'em

Is there something most people don't know about you?
Oh, one of my toes are broke…it stays up. It's like I'm giving the shaka sign!

Who's your favorite superhero?
My mom, that's my favorite superhero.

What's next for you?
Uh, just getting ready for the draft.

When you get to the pros what's the first thing you are going to buy?
I'm going to buy a house for my mom.

What's the most important thing in life for you?
The most important thing to me is my family.
