Mens Basketball: A Look at the Rainbow Classic

The 39th edition of the Rainbow Classic tips off this evening as Tennessee Tech meets Alcorn State and Hawaii battles Bradley.

It's a basketball junkies dream as the annual Rainbow Classic tips off this evening at the Stan Sheriff Center.

 

The 39th edition of the tournament will feature host Hawaii, Alcorn State, Bradley, Butler, Chicago State, Tennessee Tech, Texas-Pan American and Western Kentucky.

 

Hawaii is the defending champion and is the only team to play in all 38 previous Classic's

 

Hawaii, Butler, Western Kentucky and Tennessee Tech all won 26 or more games last season.  Butler, at 8-0, is the tournament favorite.

                                  Semifinals are at 5p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

 

Monday's schedule: Seventh place game at 11am

                                   Fifth place game at 1:30 p.m.
