Scott, currently No. 53 in the Texas Top 100, is in the race for high school valedictorian honors as he maintains a 3.95 GPA. With a score of 1030 on his SAT and a 24 on his ACT, kid's fully qualified, not to mention pretty sharp.
His coaches list him with having an eye-popping 217 tackles as sophomore and (another ridiculous total of) 186 stops as a junior. Needless to say, the small-school phenom makes his living around the ball.
In case you missed his Texas A&M Nike camp report, Scott clocked a 4.69 forty, 4.19 shuttle, hoisted 185 poounds 21 times and posted a 31-inch vertical.
Not too shabby...
"When we tested in February, I benched 325, had a 445 squat and a 265-pound power clean," said the fine-looking specimen."I've been working out every single day trying to get stronger, faster, quicker and better overall. I want to make an impression my final season."
Don't bet against the kid making more than an impression as the attention surrounding the footballer is fully expected to pick up once September rolls around.
So who's he looking at?
"Obviously, I'm looking at the University of Houston...they offered me a scholarship," Scott told TheInsiders.com.
And though Scott is listing only in-state programs at this point, he said leaving the state is definitely an option.
As I said earlier, keep an eye on the bluechipper from Alto, Texas.
