The Cougars have short week this week that was made shorter, by a few hours at least, by the weather that delayed the competition of their game with Lamar.
The Cougars opponent in week 3, the Cincinnati Bearcats, also had a scheduled 11 A.M kickoff this morning as they traveled to Purdue and came away with a 38-20 road win over the Boilermakers.
A few of the key players in the Bearcats win today:
Hayden Moore: Starting quarterback Hayden Moore had a standout game in the Bearcats win, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for two more scores. He is a player the Cougars will have to account for next Thursday night.
Nate Cole: One of Moore's favorite targets early on this season. He caught six passes for 81 yards and two scores on Saturday.
Mike Tyson & Tyrell Gilbert: Tyson had three interceptions in the Bearcats win over Purdue Saturday and Gilbert added another. It looks like Tyson is the Bearcat's nickel back.
The Bearcats are now also 2-0 on the season heading into their first American Athletic Conference game of the season.
The Bearcats and head coach Tommy Tubberville hold their weekly press conferences on Tuesday at 11:30 A.M.
