The Houston Cougars survived a second loss last Saturday, overcoming several missing players due to injury and inconsistency on both sides of the ball against Tulsa. The Cougars were able to hold off a late push from Tulsa to move to 6-1 on the season and must quickly turn the page to prepare for SMU.
On Monday, head coach Tom Herman met with the media at his regularly scheduled press conference time slot and he talked about the Cougars getting many players back from injuries over the last month. Despite some sloppy play in the Tulsa game, Herman also thinks the majority of the mistakes that plagued the team are fixable.
